5 Ways to Destroy Your Credibility with PowerPoint®

  • Begin with your mission and/or vision statement.  (Yawn!)

  • Talk about your organization . . . not the benefits to their organization. (Thanks for wasting my time.)

  • Fill the screen with words, then read them to the audience.  (5th grade again!)

  • Tell them you are great instead of showing them great things.  (Good storytelling keeps people engaged in your message.)

  • Wait to reach your point. (Unless you don’t have a point to make.)
